Girls

Chelmsford Youth Hockey association offers female athletes an opportunity to compete on girls only U10/U12/U14 and U18 teams. Our players compete in the Middlesex Yankee Girls Hockey League (MYCGL). General inquiries can be directed to the BC girls director.

U10/U12/U14, U18* (If enrollment supports a team)

End of August through March/early April

Where

Practice/Skills to be held at the Chelmsford Forum. Scheduling is to be set by the board of directors prior to the start of the season. 

Games are held at various rinks throughout the region as scheduled by the MYL.

Practices

Practices are once a week and will be set by the board prior to the season starting. New for 2025/26 season, skills to be integrated into the program. Tentative 6 sessions on a separate practice night. Details and scheduling subject to change to best fit the needs of the program.  

Games

Games start in early September and run through late March/early April. Girls regular season games are scheduled with MYC. The season generally has 25 games played. Tournaments will be determined throughout the season with the Coaches, Team Managers and Directors. Costs will be in addition to tuition if a team chooses to participate in a tournament. 

Uniforms

Uniforms consist of a jersey and socks ordered prior to season start. Uniform costs will be separate from tuition fees. All other equipment requirements are per USA Hockey guidelines. 

Team placement

 Teams will be set and balanced before the start of the season to best fit each team's needs. Placement is subject to board approval and follows the rules set by the MYL/USA Hockey. 

*18U Girls program typically runs for 3 months (1/2 season) which brings the player to the High School Try-outs in November. Each team will play approximately 12 league games followed by a playoff. Most of the games are on weekends and are hosted at various local rinks including the Forum. Games consist of 3 periods, 12 min. each, full sheets with 2 certified referees.
